Travel
I absolutely love to travel and explore other cities and cultures. I’ll fill you in on some of my adventures and provide you with recommendations. In the summer of 2023, I travelled to the south of Spain. The region is called Andalusia. I visited M, Cordoba, Seville and Granada. Taking the train from one city to the other was very convenient and efficient.
In Seville, I stayed at the Hotel Alfonso XIII, it had the most beautiful outdoor courtyard restaurant. During the day it was enclosed enough to not feel the heat and at night, they lit up these dainty string lights that gave it a magical appearance. The decor is quaint and beautiful with Spanish tiles decorating the walls and these magnificent arches. When you look up, you see these amazing carved urns that are so unique and special, I wish I could bring one home. The tile work is so inspiring. The colors were mainly blue, yellow and while and the designs were intricate. It makes plain tile seems so boring and mundane. I was very inspired and hope to find a place in my home to replicate a bit of this type of decor.
I believe it is important to get inspiration from the places you visit and bring a little back with you when you get back home. Whether it is the hospitality of strangers or the aroma of the variety of delicacies, I try to incorporate it my real life in one way or another.
